Why I created the What To Eat program
When I was growing up, my Mum successfully healed a serious chronic illness with food. And in the process, our family was put on a deluge of different therapeutic diets. I literally grew up believing that the meaning of life equated to finding the ‘perfect’ diet.
So, for the next 20 years, I studied and applied them ALL, one-by-one, in a rather dogmatic fashion. Naturally, every diet presented conflicting principles, forcing me to ‘unlearn’ everything I’d previously adapted to. (Great for the ego, as it turns out).
My journey taught me that truth sits somewhere between (good) science, traditional wisdom and common sense. I also discovered that by simply focusing on true nutrient density, the body doesn’t go looking for missing elements. And when you’re not driven by cravings (or dogma), your body’s innate wisdom guides you to your optimal diet.
A simple idea, that’s very empowering.
The fact is, there aren’t many experts teaching this high-nutrient approach and focusing solely on food. The practice of using food as medicine can be tremendously powerful – as long as you know exactly what to look for.
And that is precisely what the program gives you: the confidence to know what to feed yourself and your family for long-lasting health. And more importantly, the confidence to weigh up any other diet or theory you might come across in the future.
